The Problem & Opportunity (Why NEXUS?)

  • Traditional HR Challenges: Discuss the pain points of traditional HR systems or manual processes.
    • The Opportunity: How does NEXUS address these challenges? What is the unmet need it fulfills?
      Goals & Targets

      User Research & Discovery

      • My Contribution: Emphasize your involvement, even if you weren't the primary researcher.
        • Key Insights: What did you learn about the users' needs, pain points, and desired functionalities?
          • Competitive analysis of platforms like Zoho People and BambooHR.
            • Stakeholder interviews to identify must-have features.

              Information Architecture & User Flows

I structured NEXUS with a clear navigation hierarchy, categorizing features logically to ensure intuitive access for both web and mobile users.

              Key User Flows

              • Employee submits a leave request.
                • HR manager approves a leave request.
                  • Employee redeems "cheeses" for a gift card.

My Contribution: Highlight your role in defining these structures.

                    UX Strategy & Wireframes

                    📃Process

I began with low-fidelity wireframes to quickly explore various layout options and test basic user interactions without getting bogged down by visual details. This allowed for rapid iteration based on internal feedback.

🔑 Key Decisions/Challenges at this Stage

How to present complex data simply, ensuring accessibility on mobile, and balancing feature density.

                    Design System & Branding

Branding: Explain the concept behind the NEXUS logo and its relevance to HR/connectivity.

Crafted a scalable design system with:

                            Key UI Elements & Components

                            • Consistent navigation, clear call-to-action buttons, accessible typography, and use of white space.

                              Web vs. Mobile Adaptations

                              • While maintaining brand consistency, I optimized layouts, touch targets, and navigation patterns specifically for mobile devices, ensuring a seamless experience across platforms.

                                Conclusion
